2. How We Use Your Information

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as follows:

Service providersCompanies that run the Services for us: hosting and database (Supabase, Vercel), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal), email delivery (Resend), our text-list automation (Zapier and the connected messaging service), and shipment tracking (UPS). They may only use the data to perform services for us.
Grading companiesWhen you submit cards for grading, we share the information needed to grade and return them with the grading company you select (PSA, Beckett/BGS, CGC, or SGC).
Card price sourcesTo value items in The Vault, we query third-party price services (e.g. PriceCharting/SportsCardsPro, eBay, JustTCG). We send card details only — never your personal information.

Business transfersIn connection with a merger, sale, or other transfer of our business or assets.

4. Text Messages (SMS)

If you opt in to our text list, you consent to receive recurring promotional and informational texts from The Asylum at the number you provide, sent via an automated system. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser storage strictly to operate the site — keeping you logged in and remembering your cart. We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data. You can clear this storage in your browser at any time, though doing so will sign you out.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and afterward as required for our legitimate business needs, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations (for example, order and grading records). You may request deletion as described below.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for those purposes. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below; we will verify your request and respond as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our site links to third-party platforms (such as Whatnot and social media). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
